At Natural Beginnings we have great pride in our teachers and educators not only for their qualifications, but for their professional, positive, enthusiastic and caring attitudes with children. We are focused on offering a friendly, safe, nurturing and secure environment for children, all our staff have a current first aid certificate, current CPR plus current asthma and anaphylaxis training. Each staff member must hold a current suitability card (blue card). We believe a strong connection between families, children and educators comes from our team of dedicated, qualified staff who are committed to embracing children’s learning on a daily basis as well as actively seeking valuable information from families and the wider community. All of our staff are qualified and are Certificate III, Diploma or Bachelor trained. We provide regular in-service training and professional development opportunities for our talented team. We believe that ongoing training and professional development of our team enables us to consistently offer exceptional care and early learning educational programs. Each educator was asked 7 questions:

Lead Educator Senior Kindy – Diploma Children’s services

1.My earliest memories of Kindergarten were not all entirely positive as it was a community based religious program that was run out of a local hall, it was back in the 70s (I know I feel old to) and based on the educational programs at the time was extremely structured and employed corporal punishment mix that with my temperament sense of humour and my flair for rebellion I got in trouble A LOT!!!! When we moved to Cairns from Sydney my experiences here in preschool were entirely different and I vividly remember absolutely loving my preschool teachers who were affectionate and creative and encouraged me to succeed. I like to think that they are the reason why when I left school I naturally gravitated to Early Childhood. 2.I have worked in the early childhood field since leaving school I have worked as an educator Lead Educator, lead educator and a Nominated Supervisor. I few years ago I left the industry for a sea change and began working in retail (Coles) but I missed working with the children so I began working nights at Coles and during the day work in early childhood. 3.I have been at Natural Beginnings Childcare for about 3.5 years. 4.Anything messy, water play and reading stories to the children. 5.I love spicy food in general… but probably my favourite food is a nice cheese platter actually don’t judge me but its cheesecake. 6.My hobbies include photography, reading, taking my dog swimming, generally anything relaxing as I work long hours. 7.I would love to be able to control the weather like storm out of x-men.
