Hi I’m Madi Ogilvie. I have been working in childcare for almost 2 years. I am currently studying my certificate III in Early Childhood, with plans to continue on to my diploma this year. In my spare time I love to travel, especially to Japan, and I love spending time with my large family of 3 younger brothers and sisters. What I love most about working at Natural Beginnings Childcare Centre, is being able to nurture, teach, explore and grow with the children. It is very rewarding.

I’ve only just begun my career as an educator in early childhood and have worked at Natural Beginnings Childcare Centre since September 2018. I couldn’t imagine myself in any other career. Hi, I’m Jeanette Owston and I currently work in the Junior Kindy room. I have been employed at Natural Beginnings Childcare Centre for over a year and love it. My previous employment was with the Education Department in SA, NT and at Mt Isa, working with young children within Special School settings.
I enjoy walking, sketching and love camping, but only if l can go back to a motel room at night!
I love working with children, watching them grow and develop. There is joy and wonder everywhere when you see the world through the eyes of a child.

Hi I’m Corey. I believe that each child is unique, who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my mission as an educator to help children meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas. I have interests in computers, gaming and enjoy spending time with my family and my latest interest that I have found is robotics. I believe I can expand my interests into a STEM/robotics program for the school aged children at Natural Beginnings Childcare Centre. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and mathematics. These 4 areas can be integrated into a cohesive learning paradigm, which can be based on real-world applications.
Diploma in children services, Senior Kindy lead Educator
Hi, I’m Di. I love the delightful way that children view the world and hope to foster a sense of curiosity and wonder. Books and nursery rhymes play an important role in my program, teaching literacy and encouraging children to imagine the impossible. Teaching children to become independent is important to me. I aim to help the children at Natural Beginnings Childcare Centre to become self-reliant and develop confidence and autonomy as they develop the skills necessary to manage daily life. I believe children should be provided with opportunities to learn about nature and the interconnectivity of all things. All children should be supported, curiosity should be encouraged, and that everyone deserves a “fair go”. Childhood should be full of fun, colour, investigation, experimentation, stories, songs, happiness, and most of all love, laughter and getting our hands dirty!
Bachelor of Early Childhood and Care
Hi, I’m Louise. I am the Early Childhood Teacher in the Kindergarten and have been at Natural Beginnings Childcare Centre for 7 years. Five important facts about myself are:
- My dog is probably the most spoilt child in the world.
- I am an avid Socceroos fan
- I am also a loyal Blues supporter. This has been tested a lot the last few years.
- I love to travel and experience the history and culture of the places I go to.
- While I have a wealth of knowledge about plants I absolutely hate gardening.
My favourite thing as an educator is helping children to explore and expand their interests and knowledge base. I also enjoy coming up with new and innovative experiences to challenge your children. I predominantly follow a Reggio Emilia approach to learning as I believe that the most important skills a child should learn is the ability to question and challenge.
I am looking forward to getting to know your children and families throughout the coming year.
Studying Diploma in Early Childhood and Care
Hi, I’m Wendy and I have been in childcare for around 10 years now, 2 of which have been at Natural Beginnings Childcare Centre. I first got into childcare, so I could still be around my son when he was younger and learn from and engage with other children at the same time. I love being a mother and getting to nurture and watch other people’s children grow is an added joy. I am an avid Roosters fan and love watching New South Wales beat Queensland in the State of Origin series.
Currently studying a Diploma in Early Childhood

I have recently accepted the position of the Ranger and I look forward to providing the children with many opportunities to help learn, care and bond with our beautiful animals.

I’m a very nurturing and caring educator who respects and values all children’s individuality, interest and cultures. As an educator I ensure that I engage with the children and support their interests and help provide activities that create fun and happy memories.
Working in early childhood is a privilege and I absolutely love my job and I look forward to continuing my studies and growing as an educator.
